This story was an enjoyable read. The relationship of the two main characters, Mia and Ayden, was interesting, realistic, and well developed throught the story. I loved the information woven into the story about the view of women at the time in terms of acceptance in the academic atmosphere. How Ayden and Mia grow and change their hearts and their thinking as they are constantly together after the train wreck and the storm is probably typical of what many of us go through in a "love" relationship where that love "blocks out" goals and dreams we have set for ourselves. Also, considering how our choices affect others close to us matters. I loved Ayden's parents and how they handled their feelings about both Ayden and Mia and how they were supportive of both.Tags : Collision of The Heart - Kindle edition by Laurie Alice Eakes. Collision of the heart was an enjoyable book. The outcome was as anticipated, but it was interesting to see the events leading up to that eventual ending.
Living in Hillsdale County and supporting our beloved. Hillsdale College made this book quite an interesting read. Thanks for an enjoyable reading experience about the history of our town, even though it is a novel.
I love when a novel draws me in and I begin to see pictures, rather than words. That makes a good story great.
Love, ambition, homeless, and mystery combine for exciting nonstop reading. Small towns then and now welcome good people who help others.
I received a kindle copy of Collision of The Heart through a goodreads giveaway. I'm not used to reading books that are based in the 1850's but I will say that I enjoyed this book immensely! I would have liked to know more about what happened to Jamie though. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a short read with sweetness and mystery!
Collision of the Heart is a quick, sweet, enjoyable read. I liked the characters, and their community in Michigan. It is wonderful to see people reaching out to help others. Even though you know at the beginning that Mia and Ayden would get together, it was great seeing how they got there. I really enjoyed Mia’s fight for women! I won this book on Goodreads.
I first read this book when it was published under the title, "The Professor's Heart." As a native of Hillsdale, I enjoyed the first book a great deal. However, Ms. Eakes has included so many more facts about the train accident and town with this book, plus added even more of a story. I greatly enjoyed reading it!
